About Us
After years of helping her brother in the evenings, Kara and her husband Greg, purchased the business in March of 2022. Kara is a graduate of Sturgis High School and Greg is a graduate of Lakeland High School in Lagrange, IN. They, with their 3 children, are honored to uphold the high quality standards of ingredients, original recipes and service that this community has always valued. They are truly a small family running a small business together. They value family and serving their community.
The “Grinder”
The term "Grinder" dates back to the eastern U.S. during the WWI era. It's said Italian immigrants worked in the shipyards, setting and "grinding" rivets on the huge warships. The lunch of choice was fresh baked super-sized Italian rolls filled with generous amounts of meats, cheeses, and vegetables. When it was lunch time, the supervisor yelled, "Grinders" lunch! Hence, "Grinder," as a meal, was born.

Mancino's of Sturgis is known as much for our pizza as we are for our grinders. We offer several signature pizzas that have proven to be local favorites, such as the delicious Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Mancino's Pride Pizza. But who are we to tell you how to eat a pizza?
